Toronto is Canada’s largest city and is the 4th largest city in North America. With deep British roots, it is now one of the most culturally diverse cities in the world. Known as “Toronto The Good”, it is also one of the most beautiful and safest cities anywhere.

Toronto continues to grow at a very fast pace with construction cranes going up every week. Growth and construction, over the years, have seen many of Toronto’s older architecture demolished, unfortunately. Many of Toronto’s Victorian architecture buildings came down in the 1960’s and 70’s when there was no thought of preserving these beautiful buildings. While many of Toronto’s buildings are preserved today, in some cases, architects are allowed to butcher 100 + year old buildings and place a 70 story tower right on top of it. Luckily, in the 1980’s, Toronto started deeming much of its old architecture as heritage buildings and spared continued demolition.

Photographing Toronto is almost a daily mission for me. I keep my camera equipment with me when working or going on my daily trips. I’m often travelling from one end of town to the other and have opportunities to photograph some of my favourite buildings. Check out my blog about Toronto here. I give a quick background of the topic, may it be a Toronto building or district. I also provide visual references and all of the photographs were taken by me. Please feel free to contact me with any inquiries related to photography.
